How can you tell who it was that liked or disliked your comments? As far as I can see, there is nothing that indicates specifically who it was. -

Need Help
by ThisFellowCheap ini'm in dire need of assitance, and i have decided to humbly come here.... first, let me reintroduce myself.
my name is kolabomi, a nigerian and a proud one too.
i am a graduate student in one of my country's leading university.

My understanding is that you are asking for someone from another country to set up a crowdfund for you so that those who donate to your cause won't know their money is going to someone in Nigeria, because of the bad reputation Nigeria has with internet fraud.
You may very well be legit and if so I'm sorry for your troubles but to set up such an account would be deceitful unless you disclosed fully to those donating, exactly where their money would be going. Your story would have to be told in such a way that those donating would be doing so under false pretenses.
Even though setting up a Crowdfund for you would likely not cost anything, the individual who did so would be part of any deceit that (may) be taking place. Even though many here are inclined to be helpful to those in need, not many (including myself) would be willing to take that kind of risk, especially for a total stranger they encountered on an internet site,
It seems to me that between your parents, friends, relatives and University, you should be able to get a loan or credit to purchase what you need. Is there a way to borrow an instructors equipment or the equipment of a friend until you can make some other arrangement? What equipment have you been using or are you currently using to get by?

Is that correct?

Lett and his instruction in KMS
by JWdaughter inok, l know i am not the first to notice or likely comment on this, but as little as i respect commenting on persons, i am going to do it now.. lett seems like a charicature.
he is so strange-i cringe when i watch him speak.its as ifhe was once given advice to speak slowly and clearly and now he just talks like a cartoon.
he creeps me out.

Lett seems like a charicature. He is so strange-I cringe when I watch him speak. Its as ifhe was once given advice to speak slowly and clearly and now he just talks like a cartoon. He creeps me out. How did he ever get to that position when he is just so disturbing to even look at with the volume off? And LORD, when I put the volume on,its just 10x worse.
Of course you know what the JW retort to your comment would be:
1 Corinthians 1:27 "Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful."
Acts 4:13 "Now when the Jewish leaders saw the boldness of Peter and John and found out that they were uneducated and ordinary men, they were amazed and realized that they had been with Jesus. " -

What to say to JWs at a funeral
by dogon inmy father passed away this week.
we are going to have a funeral for him.
he was not a witness for many years but a lot of his family is still associated.
-
Pete Zahut
My Father wasn't a JW when he passed away but was associated for years.
You might hear:
===========================================================
We look forward to seeing your Dad again soon, he'll surely be in the resurrection.
Make sure you are there to welcome him back.
That's very kind of you to say...if there are indeed good things in store for mankind in the future, I see no reason why both Dad and I won't be a part of it as well.
=====================================
Are you planning to return to Jehovah?
Will we be seeing you at the meetings again soon?
The end is so close....we can't take any chances and miss out on everlasting life.
I appreciate your concern and I'm sure you'll understand why I might not want to answer that question just now.

Lett's Historic Moment
by Icarus inwith all the furor over the jw's cash strapped pleas, i'm surprised no one noticed a different issue with this broadcast.
it was historic!
yes, all 7 of the gb have broadcast in the 7 months of the channel's existence!

P Z : "They have always claimed that from a Biblical standpoint, the number 7 represented "Earthly Completeness"--
Well shut my mouth....no wonder I always got failing marks on the written review.
Earthly or otherwise, it sounds like they are worried about running"completely" out of money.

Yes, all 7 of the GB have broadcast in the 7 months of the channel's existence! Is that not HISTORICAL?
They have always claimed that from a Biblical standpoint, the number 7 represented "Earthly Completeness" .
Here they are on the 7th month of broadcasting, solicited for donations.
Maybe it's because they're "completely " out of money?

Kingdom Hall loans Cancelled? Lurkers...please read
by ToesUp ini hope that writing this, there will be some lurkers that i can shake.. if you have not listened to mays tv broadcast, please do.
it may wake some up.. note @ around 21-22 minutes into the broadcast lett brings up the the kingdom halls/assembly hall loans have been cancelled and the congregation can now send in what they can afford.
wow...how many banks would do that?.
-
Pete Zahut
Let me make sure I've got this correctly.
JW's donate money to the Society (Jehovah's Money) for the purpose of building Kingdom Halls and furthering the preaching work. The Society uses donated money (Jehovah's Money) to give to the Congregations to build Kingdom Halls but they want the money back from the same people who donated the money in the first place. Then they make a big deal about generously and lovingly cancelling the loan but behind the scenes make it clear that they still want their money back and they want to see an increase in the donations because they are having money woes.
Have I got it right?
